Likewise devotions "antique" are re-considered in their loving, wise and universal simplicity: «anche l’uomo tuo Figlio il maschio / si accucciò nel seno / e chiedendo ti prenderai cura / rialzerai lo sguardo, il nostro» (Non cessate, o Potentissima, p. 21).

Faith must be cultivated and always perceived as a gift and not as a prize. The poem on page 26 refers implicitly to the castor tree under which the Prophet Jonah found welcome rest and suddenly as it had grown luxuriantly dries (if indeed not rekindle in us the gratitude for life, for suffering, for talent ... they wither): «Devi vedere che non si muore / quando lo stomaco si sta rivoltando  / e il cuore / davanti la pianta bruciata di sole / s’aggrinza e scolora / trovando bloccata / la sua capacità di fiore.»

The evil in us and around us, death is converted / only transfigured by the love of Jesus that propels us body and soul in a «… carne / una sola, senza tempo» (Attesa che i corpi si ritrovino, p. 27); «Ma tu strapperai queste dita / (…) / come al pavimento affezionate: / le strapperai, tu le farai spiccare…» (Cracovia, p. 29); «Non temere i terrori della morte / se la spina che rimane conficcata / porterai alla fine nella carne / non del tutto intonacata.» (Corpus III, p. 32).

Very strong poetry Eucharist where Christ is left to kill, eat, digest, and urges you to where each reader / believer can empathize: «se non dovessi come fece scivolare / nelle fogne puzzolenti del paese, // se non dovessi, dimmi, / se non dovessi?» (p. 18).

Very involved and perspicuous also nice introduction by Francesco Iannone, in turn talented poet.

A guide that can help many to Ritov the taste of prayer: not only formulas, psalms and rituals (certain essential) but also simple resonance here and now, in our constantly fluid and often unjust world, of the absolute beautiful, the divine spark even tiny, indefinable and pervasive Higgs boson (of which the source) is in the first place.
