As a prelude to the World Book Day celebrated on April 23, I received from Mark Boietti his latest literary work The game of words. After the peacock's tail (The Arcolaio editor), here is another scenario that the author published with the publisher Giuliano Ladolfi of Borgomanero (NO).
The preface is by Elena Pozzi. Curling The game of words I imagined the transposition on the stage of the theater of the five main characters that make up the picture of the family, a typical American household in the early '40s.
LThe war seems far away, but it will involve slowly mother, father and three children in an endless vortex, even when the war is over with the victory of the United States and its allies.
The dialogues are a tangle of words spoken and unspoken joke about joke, almost a fatal game where the plot twist at the end leaves the reader really speechless.
