I have just emerged from the enchantment of the magic of love that the Catania writer and teacher Gabriella Vergari has enclosed in the eighteen stories that make up her new work and I would like to tell you about it.
The first element that strikes those who decide to be enchanted by their stories is the author's extraordinary imagination, inexhaustible like the water of a fountain and as varied as the colors of the rainbow; in each story there is always an initial detail that gives it the input and then widens, like circles in a pond, narrating, with the flashback technique and with a hint of yellow, the previous story of the protagonist.
The second reason that will make you love this collection of stories is, as I have already pointed out in my previous reviews, the splendid narrative style of the author, dense, never predictable, rich, with linguistic "inserts" borrowed "from the French, from English, Greek and Latin, always imbued with light irony, profound pathos and congenital Sicilianity (which he shares with myself ...).
The third reason that gives further richness to these stories are the beautiful images of Franco Blandino who thus continues the fruitful synergy with Vergari; we are not told when an image has given rise to a story and when the opposite is not necessary: they seem made for each other!
I really don't know which story to choose, everyone has that quid that will make you fall in love as it happened to me; one of the "magnificent 18" gives the title to the collection and tells of the fun preparation of a love filter ... thanks to the web, so the magic of love 2.0 is explained: very good !!!
