A miscellany that constitutes a sort of novel of formation and expression in which the author treasures and fixes, in a writing of various extracts from stories, travel reports from a chosen land, extracts from his degree thesis, philosophical articles, music and poetry, those that have been and continue to be the central moments of a certain education and a certain "nursery of spiritual and creative activities"; education and spiritual nursery, one might say, 'of the last century', which, in the face of what is now becoming apparent amidst the fragmentation and technicalisation of both knowledge and the individual, is irreducibly constituted in the perspective of the 'universal mission' of the human being, that is, of his realisation as culture and relationship.
