A young married woman, Carmela, harassed over the phone by a maniac, Mr. X, falls in love so obsessive and sick. Leave home to weave a morbid relationship with Mr. X. The novel is structured in seven parts, of which the first five are devoted to each of the five senses and the last two in a sixth and a seventh sense.
