In the “cosmos,” understood not as a harmonious order of beauty and soothing, but as a military order that organizes reality according to violence, “biological ratio” and “ratio technica” are equivalent and give birth to a sprawling monster that generates and destroys, triggers a maddening mechanism that overwhelms everything between its toothed gears: self-preserving and self-powering without end and without end, evolving and perfecting to become lethal, existing, resisting, not being but being-against.
The swarming swamp, the boundary wall that forecloses the view, the roadside bush, the open-air dump, the forbidden chariot, the gloomy mulberry forest behind the house... Earth, Water, Air, Fire, everything is permeated and enveloped by this “cosmic” fate, including man.
