Sonia Elvireanu's poetic collection represents a veritable itinerarium in Deum, but, whereas in saint Bonaventure's text the path travelled by the ‘mind’ through knowledge is described, here the path appears to be completed in the totality of a human being endowed with senses (the contemplation of nature), intellect (the awareness of what is happening), feelings (love for God) and mysticism (the perception of a dimension superior to space-time categories) (from Giuliano Ladolfi's preface).
