Asole Giovanni – Costanzo Domenico

Giovanni Asole, born in wartime in Chignolo Po (PV) to Sardinian parents, father from Nuoro and mother from Fonni (NU), both primary school teachers, had to follow their sentimental and wartime vicissitudes. That is why, after primary school in Pavia, when they separated he found himself attending secondary school in Jerzu (NU), as a guest of his sister Lella. His classmates taught him what little Sardinian he still knows today. After secondary school, he attended the Liceo Scientifico 'Taramelli' in Pavia. Once he graduated, he enrolled in Engineering and managed to graduate despite psychological and financial difficulties due to the sudden death of his parents, his only source of livelihood. Thanks to his tenacity and, above all, to unforeseen help and the goliardic spirit of many students, in particular those at the 'Cairoli College', he managed to overcome extremely hard psychological trials that marked him forever.

Domenico Costanzo was born in Florence. After studying the humanities, he began to take an interest in cinema and in the 1980s made his first short films with actor and director Leonardo Pieraccioni, with whom he collaborated in the following years as scriptwriter and screenwriter on successful films such as Io e Marylin, Finalmente la felicità and Il Professor Cenerentolo. He has made other feature films for the cinema. With Raicinema Fiction he directed and wrote I Volontari and Una vita da sogno. He produced and directed Ho sposato mia madre (I Married My Mother), an autobiographically inspired film, selected in over 70 International Film Festivals, winning sixteen of them. He produced The Last fighter, an action movie of international interest and directed the film Play Boy, distributed by Uci Cinema. He is also very active in the social field by producing many docu-films.
