Calvo Luis Raùl

Born in 1955, Luis Raúl Calvo lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a poet and essayist, a composer and a graduate in psychology.

He is the director of the literary magazine "Generación Abierta" (Letras Arts-Educación), founded in 1988, declared in 2000, "Buenos Aires Cultural Review" by the Buenos Aires legislator.

Luis Raul Calvo's work has won numerous literary awards and has been partly translated into French, English, Romanian, Albanian, Portuguese, Italian and Bengali.

Since 2007 Luis Raúl Calvo is co-producer of the radio program Generación Abierta en Radio AM 1010 "Onda Latina".

He has been managing Caffè Literario since 1992 in the "Antonio Aliberti" Café "Montserrat" headquarters in Buenos Aires.

Music: In 2011 he recorded his first music album ¿Cual es la Verdad de lo vivido? Canciones Urbanas, interpreting personal compositions, with the vocal accompaniment of Noemi and Oscar Laiguera Magliocca and of the master Oscar Laiguera on the keyboard and piano.

This music album was included in 2014 in the book Les cahiers de Val-David, Festival Notebooks, Los Cuadernos de Val-David (2009-2014), Anthologie brève (Ed. Cervená Barva Press, Somerville, Massachusetts, USA).

In 2017 he recorded his music album Historias sobre historias - Canciones Urbanas - II interpreting personal compositions
