Clementi Maurizio
Maurizio Clementi is a poet, literary critic, playwright. Teaches Literature in a National Institute of Modena and regularly collaborates with the University of Bologna, where he held various courses and seminars over the past three years. For poetry published five volumes of collected and won the "Premio Camaiore" (1998) e il "Premio Selezione Viareggio" (2000).
For criticism has collaborated with «Pendragon» in 2002, for which he has edited a selection of contemporary Italian poets, and currently works with the publishing house Barbera for which he edited the anthology La guerra, the introduction and translation of works of the poet Khalil Gibran and an anthology shakespereana, and has also collaborated with various magazines, including the «Yale Italian Poetry» of Paolo Valesio and Ernesto Livorni, on which were hosted several of his poems and essays, «Rendiconti» and «Atelier». Today co-directs the online magazine of contemporary literature Bibliomanie.it together with the poet Roberto Roversi. He is currently completing an anthology of selected poems of G. M. Hopkins.
For the theater and worked with directors such as Emanuele Montagna and his compaign Teatro Colli, for which he wrote the original textPadre Marella (2002)and translated and adapted several Greek tragedies, including Baccanti and Alcesti of Euripide and Tesmoforiazuse of Aristofane, and with the director Nanni Garella, for which he wrote the original text Le vie della vita (2006). In 2006 held a seminar at the University of Bologna on issues of contemporary theater.
