Ferretti Gregor

Gregor Ferretti was born in 1980 in Romagna, where he currently lives. Graduated at DAMS of Bologna, is a poet, lyricist and music, is a student of Mogol songwriter and screenwriter.

He started writing very young and publishes his first poems in the collection La torre e il sogno (Ravenna, Provveditorato agli studi, 1998)

A few years later, fascinated by the musicality of the word, is interested in the language of the song, it will be crucial at this stage the meeting with Giulio Rapetti, aka Mogol. Gregor's curiosity leads him, however, not to be satisfied, so, he begins to compose music and sing his own songs. And it is when he starts to sing, once again stimulated by the Mogol and Lucio Dalla, arriving acclaim from audiences, critics and the media.

In 2008-2009, in fact, received important awards and national awards with the video clip Portuale, that song is a true story to the port of Ravenna. In March 2010 he published a collection Conflitti Postumi (1998-2008) (Faenza, Moby Dick Editore, 2010), the book has achieved awards and is welcomed with warmth during presentations in libraries and concerts.

In March of 2014 is included in the anthology I volti delle parole (Longiano, Fondazione Tito Balestra Onlus, 2014) itogether with important representatives of Italian poetry such as Tonino Guerra Ennio Cavalli, Mariangela Gualtieri, just to name a few.

After a journey of experimentation on language and speech that lasted more than a decade, journey which led him to pass through poetry, song, screenplay, following the flow of images, is today the upcoming release of his debut album as a solo artist La divisione aritmetica.

The poems contained in Alfabeto della terra e altri canti won the XXII literature prize “Valle Senio”.
