Carlos Higuera Ramos studied History of Art at the Universidad de Morelia, music at the Conservatorio de las Rosas, and Philosophy and Languages at the Michoacana University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH) in Mexico. He is currently a university professor and works with magazines.
In addition to the publication of several essays, poems and short stories in collective books, in 2011 he carried out the translation into Spanish of a poetic anthology by Salvatore Quasimodo with the title Con la hierba sobre el corazón (Municipio de Morelia, Morelia). In addition, a poetic collection was released entitled La última arquitectura del viento (Círculo Rojo, Almería, 2015; GEM-SECUM, Morelia, 2016) and two books of stories: Todo esto pasó (CONACULTA-SECUM, Morelia, 2015) and La espera de las largas despedidas (Círculo Rojo, Almería, 2015)
