Flora Restivo, from Trapani, studied Classics and has been involved in writing for decades, mainly in Sicilian, without neglecting writing in Italian. She has served on juries for literary awards, as president or juror. She has won prestigious awards in Italy and is also known abroad.
She has been included in important anthologies such as L'Italia a pezzi, edited by the literary critic Manuel Cohen, Lingue e Culture in Sicilia, two volumes edited by Prof. Giovanni Ruffino and Salvatore Trovato, Strenna d'agosto, edited by Luigi Frudà, of the Università "la Sapienza" in Rome and numerous others. She has participated, with stories in Italian, in important collections by Aa.Vv.
She has published the collections Ciatu, Po essiri, poems and Dudici racconti, in Sicilian.
She has written prefaces, reports, articles, reviews, short essays, criticism...
She does not consider it necessary to boast of the many important friendships or the harvest of awards she has won, believing that each publication is a new birth.
Thank you for your attention, which I hope you will give me.
