Massimo Migliorati was born in Brescia where he lives and teaches.

He is interested in poetry of the nineteenth century, of the twentieth century and contemporary. His studies on the poetry of Carlo Porta, Giuseppe Ungaretti, Giovanni Giudici and Luciano Erba appeared in the magazines «Testo», «Literature and dialects» and «Otto / Novecento», «Poesia» and «Zeta».

He edited texts and translations of the poems by Carlo Porta (introduction by Pietro Gibellini, Mondadori, 2011).

With the publisher Campanotto he published D'around (2006, after Alessandra Giappi), Something about the rest (2012, after Giancarlo Pontiggia) and Città (2014, with photographs by Gianluca Braga).

A plaquette entitled Nature was printed for the types of Il ragazzo innocuo (2017).

Some unpublished works appeared in the magazine "Città e dintorni" (98-2009) with the commentary by Franca Grisoni; others on the Chicago Quarterly Rewiev (vol 20, spring 2015, translated by Patrizia Villani).
