Marco Munaro was born in Castelmassa in 1960 and lives in Rovigo, where he teaches. He graduated in Modern Literature in Bologna in 1984. In 2003 he founded "Il Ponte del Sale - Associazione per la Poesia". He has published the poetry collections: L'urlo (1990), Cinque sassi (1993), Il Rosario del Lido, in 5 Poets of the "Laura Nobile" Prize Siena 1993 (1995), Il portico sonoro (1998), Vaso blu con narcisi (2001), Ionio e altri mari (2003), Nel corpo vivo dell'aria (2009), Berenice (2014), L'arciere piumato (2015), Ruggine e oro (2020) and Le falistre (2021). He has translated Queneau, Rimbaud and Virgil; his texts have been translated into Spanish, Polish, Finnish and English. The magazine Atelier dedicated an extensive critical monograph to him in issue 69 of 2013.
