Keti Nizharadze, poet, translator, scholar of Homer, doctor of classical philology, was born on 30 January 1977 in Tbilisi. She graduated in classical philology from the Faculty of Philology of Tbilisi State University. After graduating, she continued her studies in Homerology. She defended her doctoral thesis on The Mythopoeic and Historical Representation of Troy in Homer. She is the author of some 20 scholarly researches mainly on Greco-Roman literature and history.
In addition to six collections of poems, she has published two monographs on Homerology, two annotated poetic translations and a book Scenes from the Iliad, Keti Nizharadze's poetic translation of Homer's Iliad from ancient Greek, with commentaries, Logos Publishing House, 2014; Selected Epitaphs from Edgar Lee Masters' Spoon River Anthology, poetic translation and preface by Keti Nizharadze, Intellecti Publishing House, 2016.
Holidays in Rome is his sixth collection of poems.
