Pellegrini Maria

Maria Pellegrini, a graduate in Classical Literature from the University "La Sapienza" of Rome, taught Latin and Greek in high schools. Since 1995 he has worked with Luca Canali as a co-author or collaborator of translations of Latin classics and essays. Among the translations we mention: for the Oscar Mondadori: Stazio, Le selve; Vegezio, The art of war; Orazio Odi, Epodi; Persio, Satire; Ausonius, the Moselle. For the letters: Prudentius The crowns; for Manni: Petrarca Bucolicum carmen, for Rubbettino: Ausonio, Epigrammi. Among the essays, for Bompiani: How to read Virgil, The Knights of the Apocalypse and Stop Attila. For Carocci: Hannibal and the Roman phobia of Freud. Per Rubbettino: Writers and power in ancient Rome. For Ponte alle Grazie: Life of Pliny, or the Art of Wonder. He has collaborated on the texts of Latin Literature (3 vol.) Einaudi; Encyclopedia of Sicily, F. M. Ricci; Childhood and adolescence of Latin literature for the magazine «Poesia» by Crocetti in five episodes. He writes for «Alias» («Il Manifesto»), for the magazine «Il Grandevetro», Pisa, and for «Umbrialeft» online.
