Vergari Gabriella

PhD in Greek-Latin Philology, and free citizen of the Republic of Imagination, Gabriella Vergari was born in Catania, where she lives and teaches, lovingly cultivating the charm for the old and new sounds. They were thus born: a Latin literature, Imago Maiorum, Catania, 2010, of which she is co-author together with G. Salanitro, A. Pavano and A. M. R. Tedeschi; a short novel, Inganni Cortesi, Il Girasole, Valverde (Ct), 1990; collections of short stories and stories, such as Sirens, chimeras and other animals, Chieti, 1993, and The Island of dwarf elephants, AG editions, Catania, 2003; the volume Ereia, from the Continente Sicilia series, together with the photographer A. Garozzo, Domenico Sanfilippo Editore, Catania, 1994; a couple of plays like Scupa! in Voices of Cards, Il Girasole, Valverde (Ct), 2008; a bestiary, Species. Bestiary of the third millennium, Boemi, Catania, 2012. With the painter F. Blandino he has already created Volteggi. Orizzonti di Immagini e Parole, Borè, Tricase (Le), 2018. She is also the author of scientific contributions, which have appeared in scientific journals, including international ones, and since, paraphrasing Kavafis, writing has always given her the journey, including articles and critical interventions - cultural, in periodicals, on paper and online and sector magazines. From his collaboration with one of these, "Vivere", Capriccio Siciliano, Carthago edizioni, Catania, 2018, was born, a declaration of love for his land. He teaches in creative writing courses for children. Some of his stories are published in anthologies and miscellany of contemporary writers.
