Pierpaolo Bordini's collection of poems cannot be read in a hurry, it must be pondered, revised, pondered, because behind the apparent immediacy of a colloquial style it opens horizons of unusual depth.
First of all, the rapidity and incisiveness of the writing delineate precise contours for the poetic dictation, which, however, are expanded by continuous allusions drawn from a valuable cultural background (Dante, Virgil, Leopardi, Ungaretti...). Far from presenting themselves as a display of erudition, they take on the task of bearing witness to a 'beyond' with respect to the concreteness of representation.
The result reaches a level of quality that is very difficult to find among contemporary publications in verse.
