Writers and poets - yesterday more than ever! - in writing, put, and still put, the risk of a gamble before the bad weather of a possible disappointment. Thus, Marina Cvetaeva became the undisputed queen of memorable correspondence: the triangle with Pasternak and Rilke is unforgettable. Of the latter poet, a handful of letters are translated here for the first time in Italy: twenty-three, a meagre number that nonetheless seals a legendary correspondence. Giorgio Anelli gives the Italian literary world, as well as the simple reader, the opportunity to enjoy an immortal treasure that radiates beauty. We are grateful to Rainer Maria Rilke and Catherine Pozzi for the existence of this epistolary, without which the world would once again be vulnerable and poor; almost bereft of the possibility of salvation. Anelli has found one. He made it his own and gave it to us perhaps carelessly, just like when you love a child.
