Vittorio Di Ruocco was born in Pontecagnano Faiano (SA), where he currently resides, in 1965. He graduated in Chemistry from the Faculty of Science MM. FF. NN. 'Federico II' of Naples in March 1989. He is a tenured manager of the Campania Regional Agency for Environmental Protection (ARPAC).
He has published 6 volumes of poetry: Le mie mani sul cielo (Il calamaio, 1996); I colori del cuore (Pandemos, 2003); Il nulla e l'infinito (Graus Napoli, 2007); Il destino di un poeta (Giovane Holden, 2021); Cecità (Montedit, 2022); L'inverno che divampa (Carta e Penna, 2022).
He has published two novels: L'albero dei miracoli (Homo Scrivens, 2014); L'amante di Dioniso (Homo Scrivens, 2015).
He has participated in numerous national and international literary competitions. For poetry, he has placed 301 times on the podium: 140 in first place, 107 in second place, 54 in third place.
For poetry, he has also received over 200 awards outside the podium (Finalist, Jury Prizes, Special Prizes, Critics' Prizes, Honourable Mentions, Mention of Merit, etc.).
He has also received four Lifetime Achievement Awards from as many Cultural Associations and a Recognition of Merit from the Municipality of Pontecagnano Faiano. He has served on several literary juries and is present in various catalogues and sector magazines. He has been president of the LucaniArt Cultural Association since 2007.
