Carracchia Giuseppe

Giuseppe Carracchia was born in 1988 and grew up in Palazzolo Acreide, the Iblei.

He then studied at Bologna, Catania, where he graduated in modern literature with a thesis of Cultural Anthropology, and Turin where he obtained a degree in Italian Philology, with a work that got the dignity of print

 (La rosa di Gerico. Stili e metriche nel primo Fortini).

Before Prova del nove, of which a preview has been put on «Atelier», n. 78 (june 2015; with a short review by G. Ladolfi), he published some collections, Il verbo infinito (Prova d’Autore, Catania, 2010), and a plaquette an out of print edition entitled La virtù del chiodo (L’Arca Felice, Salerno, 2011; pref. M. Fresa).

Some of his text have been included in La Generazione entrante. Poeti nati negli Anni Ottanta (con intr. di M. Merlin, Ladolfi, Borgomanero, 2011) in Post '900. Lirici e narrativi (con intr. di A. Rivali; Ladolfi, Borgomanero, 2015), and in other anthologies, and have gotten some awards(Premio Lerici Pea giovani nel 2011). Other writings are: Bellezza e utilità (in Scrivere per il futuro ai tempi delle nuvole informatiche, AA.VV., Fara, 2012), and L’adeguato (in Il valore del tempo nella scrittura, AA. VV., Fara, 2011). Juror for the poetry prize Faraexcelsior (2011-2013), he's working with small publishers.
