Consoli Carmelo

Carmelo Consoli was born in Catania, and lives and works in Florence. Poet, essayist, literary and art critic, humanitarian worker, he holds a degree in Political Science and International Relations. He is President of the Camerata dei Poeti of Florence. He is president emeritus and executive of various national cultural associations and on literary prize juries. He has printed 15 poetry publications and numerous unpublished essays. He has won around 200 first prizes in important and renowned poetry competitions and prestigious awards in the field of non-fiction and is the recipient of several cultural and career awards. Many important national critics and prestigious magazines have spoken about his poetry. He actively collaborates with literary associations, magazines and cultural blogs as an author and critic. He is listed as a national poet in 'Italian poetry' and is present in the best national poetry anthologies. He is translated and published in various languages including in Olschki publisher 'Gradiva' in the United States. Italian ambassador for poetry of the world poetry movement "Poetas del mundo", he is a member of the Word literary forum for peace and human rights. He has participated in international conferences on the theme of 'Identity agonies'. Academic senator of the University 'Bridges to Society', he is also involved in philosophical, religious and sociological studies and intercultural relations He has developed and founded the philosophical, religious and social relations theory called 'Infinite Beauty'.
