Maurizio Fantoni Minnella, writer, essayist, publicist, photographer and filmmaker, has a number of fiction publications including Dance of Mind (2004), The Catastrophe Traveler (2016), Geronimo is crazy again (2017) and a large number of movie essays including Habemus Nanni, Moretti's Lecture, an Author's Architecture (2015), and the music essay The Music We Crossed. A sentimental journey in the twentieth century (2016).
His articles and reportage appeared on international and national newspapers such as Caracas 'El Universal', 'Liberation', 'The Resurgence of the Left', 'La Stampa', 'Avvenire'.
He studied Latin American Literature, and published several works including Visión de America by Alejo Carpenter (2017), Pablo Jofré (2017).
He is the author of the essay on urban history and culture Genoa portrait of a city (2013). He published Do not give up (2013), four-hand autobiography with Don Andrea Gallo.
As an independent filmmaker he has 25 documentary films and four short films, some of them shot in Egypt, Algeria, Palestine, Israel, Gaza Strip, Kurdistan, Georgia and Senegal. Among the main titles: Open Gaza, 2011; Hevi's freedom, a life for Kurdistan, 2013; The heart of my mother, Sicilian notebook, 2015; We, the Blacks, 2017. He is also curator of the Poetry Review. Cinema, poetry and reality within the International Poetry Festival of Genoa.
He has recently created a photo exhibition titled Mutations.
