Ferroni Lorenzo
Lorenzo Ferroni born in Florence in 1976. After graduating from high school, in the autumn of 1995 he was admitted to study the class of Humanities at the Scuola Normale of Pisa. After graduation and the civil service has won a contest PhD in Florence and the title in 2006.He has published articles in professional journals on the tradition of Plato's text and other issues of Greek philology: from 2008 he worked with some foreign scholars to a new edition of the Enneads of Plotinus. Since 2008 he teaches greek and latin to two years of high school at the Institute of the Sacred Heart of Florence.
From the age of eleven years until graduation, he studied at the Conservatory "Luigi Cherubini" of Florence, where he took courses in violin, composition, score reading and, above all, musical analysis.
He worked occasionally in librarianship and scholarly publishing, particularly in the field of classical languages. In 2005 he translated and annotated texts of Sappho, Alcaeus and Anacreon for an anthology of ancient Greek lyric published by the New Italy.
He married in 2002 and has two children.
He started writing poetry in 1999, a collection of Xenia for the woman later became his wife.
