Valentino Fossati was born in Genoa in 1974. Lives in Chieri, near Turin. He graduated from the University of Bologna with a thesis on contemporary Italian poetry anthologies. He edited texts on Leopardi, Pasolini and a book of conversations with John Scalia. His other texts have appeared in newspapers and magazines. In 2007 he published The alarms of the stars (Genoa, Edward Arnold), winner in the same year the International Prize "City of the Eagle" and the prize "Orta S. Julius, "both for the best first film. 2005 is the play that cry the other night and 2008 Alba endless monologue in verse represented directed by Alberto Negro and starring Franco Branciaroli.
