Giacomini Silvia
Silvia Giacomini, born in Busto Arsizio, has published two collections of short stories, Puddles and glows and The metamorphosis of things, published by Progetto Cultura in 2011 and 2015, and the poetry collections La sirena discorde (Ape 2012 Edition), Il sangue del cielo (Italic Pequod 2014) and The temptation to be wind (La vita felice 2014) awarded with mention to the Lorenzo Montano Award.
Theater actress, after having worked for some years in the Atecnici company of Busto Arsizio and in other companies of Milan, she started the activity of her own company "I desideranti", a name that etymologically refers to the tension of man towards the stars and 'Infinity.
Between 2001 and 2004 he wrote the texts, and participated in the representation, of astronomical subject shows staged for the Tradatese Astronomical Group and at the Civic Planetary of Milan. In 2008 he performed a show on the mythology of trees, represented by F.A.I. at Villa Necchi, at the castle of Padernello (Bs) and at the Parco Nord in Milan.
From one of his stories he took the monologue La vestale, which debuted in 2009 in Milan and was repeated in Lavena Ponte Tresa, Varese, Buccinasco, Viareggio. He has made numerous scenic readings including texts by Antonia Pozzi, Piera Badoni, Etty Hillesum and Simone Weil.
Recently he participated in the Vox Organi review, organ tours along the Adda, as a reciting voice during the concert of the organist Fausto Caporali in homage to Alda Merini.
After attending the Drama Therapy training school in Lecco, he participated in conducting theater workshops in the field of mental distress and disability.
He took courses in drawing and engraving at the evening school of architects at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and held solo exhibitions of engravings in Varese and Milan. In 2018 he participated in the Circuito Off of the Festival of Ethical Photography in Lodi with a photographic exhibition entitled Memory of the Sea.
