Can a healthy home change our lives?
Starting from personal and professional experience, through a path that borders on philosophy, in the recent history of architecture, in anthroposophy and in oriental disciplines, the text proceeds to search for a possible healthy and sustainable approach with respect to the theme of design, building, building renovation and living in general.
Two books in one. The first part reflects on the problems of the houses in our area, to understand how the current situation of degradation and poor economic and ecological quality came about. The second section contains summary information for those wishing to venture into the construction of a building made of wood and straw, a technology born in the United States about a century ago and now widespread in several countries. The vices and virtues that characterize it and differentiate it from the traditional ones best known to us are illustrated.
A multidisciplinary research journey full of questions and food for thought on the future of building. A short essay, a small technical manual, a semi-autobiographical story, a contribution to reflect on this historical time of great turmoil where old certainties are now faltering and new ones are struggling to manifest themselves.
In an era where the ecological issue will be increasingly central and will affect all choices, even in the economic field, if we want there to be a future we will have to take care of the earth, our first home, now saturated with pollutants and waste and wrapped electromagnetic waves increasingly invasive and poisonous for all forms of life.
The ultimate goal of this work is the well-being, for human beings and for the planet, to be pursued starting from the daily practice of living and building through the creation of health, beauty and harmony.
