In the imaginary country of Crozza revived characters that we all have chewed through school and not reading. Mythology, one is tempted to think, yet they pulsate feelings and passions common to every man and woman in every time and place. So Scylla and Charybdis, winning the monstrosity of evil, entering into their love story. The hen with the golden chicks is the rediscovery of nature and its wealth. The fountain of the nymph gushing water that feeds into two boys a passion ended in tragedy. And then Polyphemus, the robbers, Circe, the Sirens, the elves project us into a world of history and fable, where the perpetual battle between good and evil.
