Chiaroscuri is designed as a tribute to Eugenio Montale on the centenary of Ossi di seppia. There are 64 texts divided into 4 sections (Postulates, Parvenzes, Canticles, Xenia) that of Montale's work reflect circumstances and interrogations but conceived and developed in the backlight of current issues. The texts are preceded by a critical analysis of In limine, the incipit of the Ossi, reproposed as the foundation of Montalian poetics. Driven inwardly by the necessity of overcoming the phenomenon and the anxious restlessness of mystery, Montale, albeit unconsciously, senses in the archetype of the Annunciation the postulate necessary to access the epiphanic manifestations of the noumenon.
