Complex text both issues is to style what we present: the narrative invective, elegy from introspection, from piety to indignation. For this reason, the author mixes satire with the elegy, Horace and Juvenal with Lucretius, without neglecting Tibullo and Properzio. But, beyond the classical reminiscences, the poetry of Henry Barbieri is deeply rooted in contemporary culture. Just consider updating the sermo merus, which not only is not afraid to take styling cues taken from the spoken language, but also addresses the coining of neologisms. It should be immediately pointed out, however, that it is not a literary choice, elucubrata tones "sperimentalistici," we are faced with a real need: "It nature negat, facit indignatio versum" (Juvenal), because at the very time of indignation are the urgency of lexical explosion, unable to resist the consciousness of the evils of the Province (Giulio Greek).
