The most everyday and humble things give rise to complicated, even painful feelings. Undoubtedly a feeling that amplifies and transfigures the things that fall daily before our eyes is similar to what drives me to paint certain combinations of images, to create visual rebuses for which not even I have the solution. I don't know if Patrizio also experiences this semantic uncertainty, which is necessary for me, but somehow, at some point in our lives, we found ourselves contemplating the mystery that speaks through plumbing pipes, strange optical machinery, metropolitan visions, windows and disquieting buildings. More the objects than the people, especially in Patrizio, evoke reflections and feelings that dig into the being and the malaise of living (from the preface by Stefano Di Stasio).
