A terrible earthquake has just hit the Peruvian capital. In the population, on the one hand affected by the disaster and the other mesmerized by the results of the matches of the football World Championship taking place in Mexico in 1970, they meander enormous tensions. Detective Simon Weiss is responsible for solving two murders shocking and seemingly unrelated: the crucifixion and the beheading of a Japanese in a pool hall and the apparent hanging of an old jew. On the heels of a pair of hideously crimes perpetrated since World War II, Weiss intends to discover the surprising relationship between the authors, whilst working in the depths of his psyche to overcome his demons.
