In Sonia Elvireanu's collection, contemplation of nature is nourished by deep reflection in two different ways: poetic and existential. The title Scintillii nel cuore del silenzio (Sparkles in the Heart of Silence) guides us in our reading: the first term reiterates the poet's vocation to proceed by means of "illuminations" or "fulgurations", moments of grace in which the poetic vision is stopped on paper, without any obligation to find connections, consequentiality, coherence, development between them. But this is life that proceeds in a desultory and contradictory way; it is our way of relating to reality, a way that is always exposed to a quantity of interior motions in which present, past and future unite and discord, in which memories and hopes relive in the conscious and unconscious dimension and create that magma that no type of analysis manages to rationalise completely.

Dans le recueil de poèmes de Sonia Elvireanu, la contemplation de la nature se nourrit d'une réflexion profonde selon deux modalités différentes : poétique et existentielle. Le titre Ensoleillements au cœur du silence nous guide dans notre lecture : le premier terme réitère la vocation du poète à procéder par “ illuminations “, moments de grâce où la vision poétique s'arrête sur le papier, sans obligation de trouver entre eux des connexions, des conséquences, des cohérences, des développements. Mais c'est la vie, qui se déroule de façon désordonnée et contradictoire ; c'est notre façon de nous rapporter à la réalité, une façon qui est toujours exposée à une quantité de mouvements intérieurs dans lesquels le présent, le passé et le futur s'unissent et discordent, dans lesquels les souvenirs et les espoirs revivent dans la dimension consciente et inconsciente et créent ce magma qu'aucun type d'analyse ne parvient à rationaliser complètement.

Sonia Elvireanu is a poet, novelist, literary critic, essayist, translator, member of the Union of Writers of Romania. She holds a doctorate in Philology, is a professor; member of the Centre for Research on the Imaginary and the Centre for Philological Research for Multicultural Dialogue of the University "1 December 1918", Alba Iulia; member of the International Federation of French Teachers (FIPF), vice-president and cultural coordinator of the Franco-Romanian Association AMI.

With the publishing house Giuliano Ladolfi he published the poetry collection Il canto del mare all'ombra dell'airone cinerino (2021).
