The intent of Nunu Geladze assumes enormous importance for the nation's targeted, to the fact that in the last fifty years the poetry that we lost importance. For most of the graduates and graduates writing verse it is synonymous with school, for the writer's projection of his own feelings, as liberating gesture of inner drives, often it is only aimed at finding consensus. No longer it reads contemporary poetry and this is a clear indication of our lowering of the cultural level. The invitation of the editor of the anthology Georgian ranks, therefore, at the root of the essence of human nature, where the poem takes on an almost sacred place. Cicero said that poets are a gift of the gods and, even if we do not come to this conclusion, we can not but share the sacred poetry is tracked within us, in that place of consciousness, where decisions are made for life, reasons for the existence of an entire people. No coincidence that Percy Shelley Bessy claimed that poets are the unacknowledged legislators of the world.

And on the line this setting the Geladze has made the choice of poets and songs by searching for four different generations, united by a series of themes that constitute the essence of the Georgian people in the latter period of time: the homeland, as you can see in the compositions of Queen Ketevan Ana Kalandadze, A view of Gori. August, 2008 Lela Samniashvili; piety, devotion to the traditions of a people devoid of all forms of racism and prejudice, open to every culture and tradition (Michelangelo Lia Sturua, Letter of Michelangelo to a friend of Tamaz Badzaghua, From this pitcher drink Ana Kalandadze, by letter of the same Natela Baliauri Ana Kalandadze, the voice of the bride Chechen Caroline. Mother Africa Lela Samniashvili, love for tradition, a sense of welcome and hospitality, conviviality friendly, the sense of honor and dignity.

The fact that the anthology acceded female voices and two candidates for the Nobel Prize is a sign of a careful and insightful whose love for poetic translation is devoting time and effort.
Do not forget, finally, that the scholarly preface by Ivane Amirkhanashvili is a real history of Georgian poetry from its origins to the present day, Italian is useful to the reader to place in the correct tradition poets included in the publication, but most useful for spreading knowledge a literature which, unfortunately, is almost totally ignored in our country and that, instead, could be a stimulus and education for the new generations.
